Beauty Collective Salon commemorated it’s 2nd year by hosting a day-long celebration for The Big Families of Michigan on Sunday, December 5, 2010. This event was open to the public and was a huge success!
In conjunction with Jeanne Fowler, the founder of The Big Families of Michigan, Beauty Collective Salon collected donations for foster teens ages 11-18 yeas. These young adults typically have nothing except for what the state can provide. Most have been abandoned, neglected, and/or abused. Therefore, it is our pleasure to do whatever we can to help out in the slightest bit with these teens.
For this event, local teen girls were invited to come with a donation of a simple holiday gift bag containing things such as body wash, body lotions, perfumes, lip gloss, manicure kits, nail polishes, hair accessories, books, journals or whatever a teen girl wold enjoy.
In return they received haircuts, manicures, eyebrow shaping and skin care. Jeanne Fowler herself was at the salon to talk about The Big Families of Michigan Floor.
