Every day I wake up extremely grateful to be able to do what I love for a living, but on this day I woke up even more grateful than usual. To be surrounded by fellow artists, on a beautiful beach doing what I love-I had to pinch myself, does it get any better than this? I think not. On top of it all, I was asked to recreate makeup and hair from my favorite generation, the 50′s. My first thought was to do the standard Marilyn curls, but then the environment became a huge factor when I realized how windy it was on the beach. Improvisation can be an artist’s best friend! After I finished the retro makeup I decided to do a side ‘do on the local actress/model, Mackenzie Conn, which luckily held up all day! With vintage swimwear provided by Mariposa’s Clothing and Accessories, and the amazing photographer, Joe Polimeni of www.polipix.com, this shoot was a success! With that being said, do what you love and love what you do.
